My name is Mr Cougan

I woke up and joined the liberation road consciously at the age of thirty and since then I have not looked back. I know who I am, what I am, where I came from and most of all why I am here. I will never stop saving the souls of my people.

I started playing music outside in 1979 with a sound called Leo high power from Brixton South London. I have loved music from a very young age listening to whatever reggae was on the radio. Back then there was just two shows a week out of the many radio stations on the AM and FM band in London. In order to fill the gap with that love I had for music, there was only one thing for me to do so when I started secondary school I became involved with sound systems as a selector.

I became more vocal when I became a radio presenter on a station called Power Jam in 1991, with DJ Watty. We became known as ‘One Destiny’. I linked with Galaxy in April 2004 after the passing of the great Don Gideon. Give thanks for Galaxy Radio 99.5 F.M.

My favourite artists are Dennis Brown, Ronnie Davis, Jimmy London, Sugar Minott, Aretha Franklyn, Frankie Beverley and Luther Vandross.

When I am not in the studio, you can find me teaching or studying.

Therefore, you can catch me on Sunday 6-8 pm.

All that is left to say is analyse everything my family.
